are we recruiting 2017 point guard Markus howard?
You do realize how far off that is, right?
Yes they are. Miller wants his bro Jordan to walk on next year.
whats your point?

2. Unofficial Visits are allowed beginning a prospect's Sophomore year, as are phone calls by the prospect to the coaches (but not the other way around). Beginning June 15th after a prospect's Sophomore season, coaches can call and text them (and likely other social media) on an unlimited basis.

Is it possible the coaches can go through his older brother or his parents? Sure. I'm certain it's a regular practice. But elite coaching staffs - like the one we have - rarely use recruiting resources that early in the process. The staff hasn't even closed out 2014 for gawd's sake; and they're working incredibly hard to secure their 2015 class. I doubt they've given much thought to the 2017 class at this point.
You have to remember: Kids this far away from entering college haven't played a single meaningful AAU minute yet (meaningful being with 16U or 17U - coaches rarely watch the younger kids play, unless they just happen to be at the same event/location), and despite his high school exploits thus far, it's doubtful the coaches would carve out time to go see a 2017 prospect at his high school unless the game also featured another, older, priority.
I wouldn't be surprised if they've reached out to the family, but chances are they're not wasting many resources "recruiting" any 2017 kids right now.
