    Default Gabe's defense

Was very noticeable tonight and WAY improved from what I remember seeing last year. I just wanted to give him kudos for improving on the weakest part of his game and it'll help us out in an NCAA tournament and Pac-12 run.

He was amazing especially in the first half. He was very well concentrated and contributed greatly in the offensive end as well.

Agree with both of you. The icing on the cake was nailing those 3's in the front half.

    Bear Down Gabe!

I might get eviscerated for this comment but I like Rondae off the bench

I also think letting him stay in the game for longer stretches helped him get his rhythm and this his shot came around. It seems like when that's happening his defense gets better too

Gabe is obviously improved from last year in most likely every facet, but defense most noticeably.

He was still subbed out for Mayes at the end there, because Gabe was not able to box out well enough. Hopefully that comes too, because we were bad on the boards tonight.

Overall, Gabe is a gamer and I hope will be a huge part going forward.

I agree that Rondae off the bench is the right look. We can sacrifice a little bit of length and D for some shooting. Loved seeing Gabe confident out there for a good half.

Not sure Im gonna give him the all-D pass just yet. Couple of assignment misses and slagging, but getting better. His O confidence made his pverall performance a positive one tho. Glad he and the team are getting what hey need out of each other.

He still jumps 3 feet on ball fakes. That needs to stop.

Gabe's defense is light years better than last year. He's worked hard and deserves the start.

But what I like best about his game this year is his ability to ball fake the jumper then drive to the basket. With his hops, he can dunk, too.

I think RHJ coming off the bench is the best place for him! He brings in a spark at the right time and still got the same amount of minutes as when he started.
