+ All-American Kadeem Allen is leading the Jayhawk West and is second in the nation in scoring at 28.2 points per game. He is shooting 45.5 percent overall, 32.6 percent from 3-point range and 75.5 percent from the free-throw line (5th in the Jayhawk West). He is averaging 7.1 rebounds, 5.56 assists (2nd in the Jayhawk West) and 2.20 steals per game (tied for 2nd in the Jayhawk West). In conference play, Allen is averaging 27.9 points per game.
Wow. We sorely need a guy that can break the zone and score. Can't wait to see him alongside the ret of our dangerous backcourt.
Well, he may be a scorer, but not a shooter. 32.6% is a little below average for 3pt
I don't mean to dismiss the value of a scorer. Sooner or later you need points and if they are off of rebounds the percentage is less important
I am not sure how to interpret Kadeem's stats from a JuCo. The numbers are amazing at first blush, but obviously the talent he is competing against is nothing close to what he will see next year. Can anybody ground me on what his realistic potential is when he transitions to UofA? Any other examples of past Juco players with Kadeem type numbers and how that translated to D1 power conference play? Is he a fringe starter that will get 10+ a game or the 8th man who will get us 2 - 4 per?
How's his defense?
How many UCLA fans does it take to screw in a light bulb? None. They're too busy talking about how great the old one was.

Arizona lands #1 JUCO for 2014 - what can his JUCO stats tell us?
It was writted October 29, 2013. It'll give you an idea what I think his 2013 stats tell us about him as a player. I'll do the same thing after this season.
Pretty excited about KA. Nice to see him get some pub.
