I'd give my left nut to have J.J. Avila on this team.

You have a knack for wanting these mid-major stars on our team.

    *Bejarano

Eh. Don't get me wrong, the stats look good. But Lamar is 1-11 this year, dead last in CBB in rebounding; and without looking, I'll assume that they are about as bad in OFG%. Good to see him capitalize, though. I hope he's put it behind him and has moved on, but I remember him being pretty bitter with Miller when he transferred. His immaturity in the situation left me with a bad taste concerning him, but I still wish him the best.

Bejarano? He scored 19 pts over mighty 1-11 Lamar? Really? Who cares?

I can't for the life of me figure out the fascination with former players (and I use that term very loosely) when they transfer elsewhere.

To me, when they trade that Cats jersey for a different one - they are dead to me.

Wow deb tell us how you really feel.

I would hardly call this thread an "obsession", more like recognition for him having a career effort. Plus its in the college basketball forum and i dont see anyone in here playing the what if game and wishing he was still a wildcat.

Bejerano is an Arizona kid who i believe wishes he was still a wildcat at heart. He just wasn't quite Arizona good and was essentially forced out. I personally still wish him well and am happy this article was posted. I dont necessarily think of him in the same light as guys who finish out their full career as a cat, but still love hearing that hes found some success at CSU.

Let go of the hate Deb!

Little from column A, little from column B, lol.

But back to the topic, Daniel Bejarano is an awesome guy and I want him to succeed at everything in life. When you meet a lot of high level high school athletes, the really special people stand out and it's not always about sports. DB is good people and I'll always root for him.

I agree, played with him a couple of times at the rec. No doubt he deserves to be starting somewhere. Wish he was with the cats this year to give us depth at the guard spot but I am very happy for DB.

avi wins the thread. If you don't have anything good to say about B-E-J-A-R-A-N-O then just move on to another thread. No big deal.....

He was always a good kid and is making the most of fantastic opportunity to play Division I hoops, get a free education, and grow up. Good for Daniel.

Bejarano went for 22 and 8 (rebounds) against SDSU last night, though only 6-20 shooting.

What are the odds on any AZ player reaching 20 FGAs this season? I think Ashley's 16 against UMich is the high thus far.

Bejarano was 4-15 in the game against CU - he's putting up numbers but not terribly efficient.

Since we are on the subject:

Aaric Murray just went for 33 pts, 8 boards, 5 blocks. The previous outing he went 24 pts, 10 boards, and 10 blocks.

    Amazing right?

    Called it:

Aaric Murray (133 HnI last season for WVU) - he could easily be a Top 100 player nationally this season if he's healthy and has his head on straight - and should dominate most of his competition at Texas Southern.
Quote of myself on 10-25-13 during my transfer write up.

Here's the list of transfers and their last Hoops Nerd Impact rating (ignores missed games) the last season they played before this season:

    http://classic.hoopsnerd.com/uploads...for2013-14.pdf

To bring this thread full circle - the #1 guy is Bejarano's much better teammate - currently on the plus side of 19/6/3 & 53% fg. I dare you to find ONE guy (besides myself) who did some "transfer" article who mentioned both Avila & Murray besides me. You won't find one. That's part of why I do the ratings - NO ONE is missed.

BTW, the #2 guy on the list just beat Kansas on the road - and we all know and love #4.

Good for him! It's also his first game all season against a D1 school in which he shot over 46%. Let's just say he needs to be more efficient.

Stat, you beautiful bastard. How far will your rankings go, as in is it a top 200? The fact that you are ahead of the game this year is promising.

Disregard the question, just visited your site. Thank you for organizing by team.

Moser was kinda a hot mess in '12-13 (injuries, outta position, Bennett).

He had a 142 HnI rating in '11-12, ranked 105th nationally.

I'll be tweaking the team ratings (the basis for the player ratings) again, for what almost certainly is the final time. I'm using 18 seasons of Sagaring ratings and converting over to a better representative adjusted O to D ratio team. It'll not change the ranking much at all, but it should make the player ratings at the extremes seperate more (I'm guessing more 190s, 180s at the very top). I'd been using a Pomeroy as the adjusted O/D conversion, but he's adjusted his results closer to the mean (lessening effects of blow outs) - causing my best rated players in that posting I did a couple weeks ago to be in the 170s (also closer to the mean).

ALL the current and past ratings will be redone with this last, best, final methodology that I'm real excited about. It's taking me many hours to get the conversions EXACT, not some complex formula I devised that could never be exact, which always bugged me. I FULLY expect to do the current ratings this coming Monday, and every Monday thereafter.

I'll get all the past player seasons done back to '96-97 and posted during the next couple months. I just learned I'll be having ear surgury (not serious) soon - which may give me some away from work time that I haven't had in a long time.

He had 24 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists to lead Colorado State to a 75-57 home win against UNLV.
