    Default Miller on surgery

Said his family and trainers are working collectively to figure out what doctor does the surgery as well as what specific procedure to have.

Said it could be a local doctor or some one back home, etc.

Said Brandon is was at the film session and practice today.

Im no doctor, so excuse my ignorance. Is it really better for him to have surgery at this point instead of letting it heal naturally? Hes going to miss the season either way, so is it really necessary to get surgery?

It depends, do you think he should walk again? given the injury, yes, it is a must.

lol no need to be condescending man. Just seems like they automatically opt for surgery for sport injuries, whether its necessary or not these days. Didnt know this was one of those.

apologies - not trying to be condescending, really though, if he doesn't have surgery, he won't live a normal life, as in being able to walk, not one of those injuries that the body can heal on its own unfortunately.

Not your typical, there's a broken bone, put a cast on it. This is super uncommon.

More in the PF for anyone else that wants to know.

Dang, obviously alot more than they seem to be letting on. Not trying to step on any privy private forum info - but is it something that he will be ready for summer practices (college or pro), or more significant?

It won't heal naturally. This is a ligament like the ACL that without surgical reconstruction will ALWAYS have instability and laxity.

And to add to what is above, this about trying to get a 6'8" elite college athlete back to elite collegiate athletics, not some schlub getting back to walking back and forth from his car to his cubicle day after day.

btw, I am a physical therapist and this surgery is actually not super uncommon. Unfortunately, this injury is becoming more and more prevalent with athletes today. Good news is I have seen kids bounce back and playing again in about 12-15 weeks. At an elite level, he would probably need a little more tho. Wish Brash the very best! I still believe in this team
