Why I'm not mad at the 3 point wave off...
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely think that 3 pointer was legit and Arizona should have lost as a result. However, I'm not convinced Arizona would have lost the game, if instead of a phantom call on Mark Lyons on a spencer dwindle fall, who happened to lose the ball and provide a break for Arizona to score, the call wasn't made, and didn't result in Dwindel hitting 1-2 free throws.
at the end that phantom call only in the closing seconds of the game, and the wild 3 point wave off, negated each other to me.
Dwindel simply fell on that play and the foul call took away Arizonas chance to score and instead rewarded Colorado with 2 free throws.
Re: Why I'm not mad at the 3 point wave off...
A has been cleared up on other threads, there is no "clear path" call in college ball. That's an nba thing only. There is, however, a flagrant 1 for not making a play on the ball which is what it should have been. That's still 2 shouts and possession, so basically semantics.
