Currently we have 3 players from the Soldiers playing here, and one would have to think it was a bonus to already have that connection with other Soldiers we are recruiting.
Ace can correct me please if I am wrong.
I would think that chemestry or familiararity between them and SJ would add a little to the recruitment os future Soldiers. Like SJ and IR.
If they were to all 3 go pro after this season would it hurt in them not being here, or help in that they all got to the league from here. I figure they all had a strong probability of getting there at any other school as well. Same as SJ and IR.
So my thought is win a NC! They would all leave, and leave the cupboard bare. Would SJ be inclined to look elsewhere?
I doubt it myself, but that question did come up with a friend.
Having so many former Soldiers on our team are added bonuses when it comes to recruit visits and recruitments but in regards to them being here or not I don't see that playing much of a factor.
It is nice to be able to point to the fact that Miller has in fact landed an Oakland Soldier in each of the last three recruitment classes.
Nick and Josiah committed in 2011.
Ashley committed in 2012.
Gordon committed in 2013.
Then we have the possibility of landing Stanley in 2014 and Rabb in 2015 but it's more about them (Soldiers) having elite talent that Miller has just been able to land than the fact that they just happened to play on the same AAU team and that is the reason why Miller has been able to land them.
Hopefully Stanley commits before April, so the national championship scenario doesn't matter towards his decision either way.
