Ok, I started with Zeus, and as promised have made a comparison of all 3 freshmen bigs. None have particularly stood out yet, and none have shown considerable improvement, which makes it hard to compare their progress without seeing a good visual.
I have included graphs below that show the Possessions, Points per Possession, Rebounds per Possession, and TO's per Possession for each player. I have included the data as trendlines because on a game by game basis, it is very difficult to see progress.
I also included a final piece of data in a 4th graph that compares the minutes that each freshmen has been seeing so far.
In my personal opinion, it looks like Zeus is the only of the 3 that doesn't have a declining efficiency. We could expect their efficiency to decline due to the increasing level of competition, but we also would hope that they are making strides in practice and on the court. On a per possession basis, both Jerrett and Ashley have somewhat declined. Grant is the only one of the 3 to maintain a similar number of possessions through the year, while Ashley has by far had the most total possessions of the group. Although these charts don't show it, Ashley is also by far the most dynamic of the 3.
When looking at the minutes played by the 3, it is interesting that while both Jerrett and Zeus' MPG have risen, Ashleys has declined. So, over an increasing about of time, Zeus has had similar efficiency but decreasing possessions and Jerrett has had decreasing efficiency but similar possessions. Ashley has seen a decrease in time, possessions, and a slight decrease in efficiency.
In Jerrett's defense, his TO's are nearly a third of the other 2.
