Grant really stepped up his game tonight when Kaleb got into foul trouble. He played 19 minutes, had 5 points including 1 of 2 free throws there at the end, 3 rebounds and 1 block with only 1 TO. In the second half, there were stretches where he was the only Arizona big man on the court. However, considering it was a one point game, there were two key moments for him in the second half that I believe deserves a proper due.
*Down 51-41 at the 11:00 minute mark, Arizona has the ball and is getting absolutely nowhere in running their set. No one seems to want to force the action and take the shot. With the shot clock running out at 6, Grant stepped out and buried a baseline 15 footer to get the Florida lead back to single digits.
*Down 54-48 at the 8:52 mark, Arizona once again is having trouble running anything. Parrom finally gets the ball in the key, gets bodied but finds Grant, with 8 on the shot clock, who once again had stepped out for a 15 foot baseline jump shot which he buries getting Arizona within 4, the closest Arizona had been since halftime.
Now these might not seem like much but he REALLY bailed Arizona out on both possessions. He misses the first shot and Florda goes down the court with a chance to go up 12 or 13. Miss the second and Florida could go up 8 or 9.
Most definitely a team win, but wanted Grant to know the fans were watching and thank him for his contributions! BEAR DOWN!
