I think of Miller as an excellent coach but I don't believe he is doing enough in terms of defense. Yes three point defense needs to be improved, the players are playing too loose yada yada yada, But what I would like to to see the Cats do is set the tone defensively not just pressure the ball constantly but to press, trap at least the first 10 minutes of each half to force teams to play more uptempo. We know these Cats have proven they can handle the pressure now its time to bring out the killer instinct for a full 40 minutes. They showed glimpses of it in the Miami and San Diego St game, they need to play up to their potential instead of down to their competition. They have the depth to wear teams out they need to take advantage of that. I like Lyons as much as the next guy but he needs to sprint more and jog less not just just sprint when he is going for a fast break layup . The team as well it seems they are playing too confident because of the size, talent, and depth they have it seems like the team is going half speed on offense. This team should be a nightmare to guard! Instead it makes itself easy to guard by not passing and cutting more to the basket. Teams at this point in the season are not just playing harder but smarter and they will do what they have to do much like UTAH did and a play a style of game that plays in their favor. We are 14-0 and have no identity other than our clutch Seniors. It's time the Coaches and players build an identity and wear teams out either offensively or defensively its there, get it done guys.
What are your guys thoughts on what this team needs in order to be a legit contender in march or a better team?
