Herbie is the Future of ASU Basketball
Even though Herb Sendek has lost at least 19 games in 3 of his 6 seasons at ASU, he has the full support of the Administration. He is not going anywhere anytime soon.
If we needed another example of why ASU basketball will NEVER compete with Arizona, look at this quote from the ASU President,
"I'll take a 15-13 record if (the opponents) that beat us leave the court saying, 'Man, that was hard'" ASU President Michael Crow said.
There is no way you will ever build a successful program with a mindset like that.
Here is the entire article on Herbie and his "true believers".
Herb Sendek still part of ASU basketball's long-term plans
How about an 8-20 season where Your opponent leaves the court saying "damn that was easy"
Lisa Love is a godsend. She has gerbil fans believing ineptitude is something desired. Michael Crow hates athletics so I love seeing him giving endorsements for coaches. All he cares about is biotechnology/research.
Reality is, Herb Sendek is the best asu can do. The guy took NC State to like 7 straight NCAA tournaments. asu is the problem, not Herbie. They have no tradition, no fan support, and the world's biggest little brother syndrone thanks to the thriving b-ball program to the south.
"It's one thing to just wring your hands in frustration and just howl at the moon, but there's another part to say, 'He is an incredibly talented and bright basketball coach, and he just didn't all of a sudden wake up dumb,' '' Love said.
HAH. How about "Damn, that place was empty"?

I hope Lisa Love and Herbie stay forever. I don't see the problem at all :-)
