Chol will meet with his coach, Ollie Goulston, after their game for the league title and the two will sit down and discuss where Chol wants to go.
PGU caught up with Chol's coach earlier today.
"It won't be one factor but a combination of factors that we discuss when we choose where he's going," Goulston said. "Angelo was open to them and a couple of other schools he kind of dropped. Arizona has done a very good job. Book Richardson and Sean Miller have done a great job of making up ground and building a relationship with Angelo."
The press conference will be broadcast kbcsports.com for anyone to watch at 12:45pm pacific time on Thursday. Though Chol may decide before then, no coach will be informed of a commitment until 10 minutes before the press conference.
"I wanted him to take all the information in and really do this the right way," Goulston said, "and look at the positives and negatives of every situation as it relates to him."
PGU has also learned that Chol may publicly eliminate two schools tonight. The teams still in contention are Arizona, Washington, Kansas, North Carolina, and Alabama.
"I don't think a kid with the character of Angelo and the work ethic that he has, can go wrong," Goulston said. "I think he'll have a good career at any of the five that he picks."
Goulston said that he didn't know which school Chol was favoring and that he wouldn't know until he met with him later today. Goulston did not accompany Chol on his latest trip to Washington because he was in Cabo San Lucas with his girlfriend.
"I really have wanted to stay true to the process and not let him get caught up in the emotion," Goulston said. "Every trip is good and I can see where kids commit after trips because they're all positive. Who knows, if you let him commit after every trip, you'd probably have five commitments by now."
Goulston wouldn't give any indication about which schools might be in the lead, but he did say that Chol may have the closest relationship with Washington's Lorenzo Romar.
